The thing I really loved about the movie was the dichotomy between Chuck and Steven. At first everyone thinks Steven is charming and funny and kind, and that Chuck is a hard, selfish jerk. I loved the scene where Marty is offering Michael's job to Chuck and Chuck is hessitant because he knows Marty is only firing Michael out of insecurity and that all of the writers are very loyal to Michael. He knows that it would look like he's stealing Michael's job, but he's really not, and what else is he supposed to do but accept the offer?
I also loved the scene where he goes home after his first day in the new job and just puts his head in his wife's lap. None of the characters saw those scenes, but they assumed that they knew what motivated him.
The scene at the end, where it shifts between the writers clapping for Chuck and the students clapping for Steven is brilliant.
